Lesson learnt from just concluded Lagos poll in Summary

inec2

Don't keep an enemy you cannot do without. In the journey to success, don't keep an enemy you cannot afford. The focal points are Akinwumi Ambode, Jimi Agbaje and Tinubu. I'm sure to some extent that Jimi Agbaje could have been the next governor of Lagos State but he denied himself the privilege by choosing and keeping an enemy his bold ideas could not withstand. If my history were right
" Based on his affiliation with Afenifere, Jimi
Agbaje joined the Action Congress (AC) - his
first political party. In 2007, Agbaje who had
initially aspired to contest for the Governor of
Lagos State on the platform of the Action
Congress (AC) left the party to join the
Democratic People's Alliance (DPA). He
was among the 11 aspirants that turned their
back to the Action Congress (AC) when it was
alleged that Governor Bola Tinubu had already
anointed someone else to succeed him even
before the party primaries. Widely believed
to have conducted the best campaign in 2007,
Agbaje contested in gubernatorial election on
the Democratic People's Alliance (DPA)
platform, but eventually, alongside other major
contenders - Musiliu Obanikoro of PDP, Femi
Pedro of Labour Party (Nigeria) - lost to Babatunde Raji Fashola of the Action Congress (AC). He left DPA in 2011 and went on to join the ruling party, the People's Democratic Party, PDP following the de-registration of DPA by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). On October 29, 2014, he officially indicated his interest in giving the Lagos State gubernatorial elections another shot by picking up the PDP nomination form". To cut it short, what ego could not solve humility and patience will do the magic. Your decision can sometimes make you and as well mal you. He created a bold enmity so to say with APC strong hood forgetting the strength and weakness of Lagosians that love their comfort zone as long as the zone is working for them.

In a nutshell , I closely follow both aspirant on every occasion on social media and related interviews. Many speculations on the candidates credibility meanwhile both were credible not regarding the eloquence of JK over Ambode. Easier said than done. Agbaje may be nice to people around him but he lack astute to people's political will no wonder a follower of him says JK PDP I know, Ambode APC I trust after casting his vote. Humility took Ambode and even Buhari to their present standard. Eloquence aside, action speaks louder than voice.

Why the change in Lagos in the first instance when the current administration is meeting Lagosians demand to some reasonable extent though not 100% but can be inprove on, even a law in physics says no machine can be 100% efficient. Ambode would have won with more margin if not for those though not all anyway who brought their cultural nomenclature habit to Lagos to put sand inside the gari of current peace and harmony of Lagosians but God pass them. I don't want to delve into that anyway. Forget about conceding defeat in Nigeria, a black man's mind will always be black.
The big lesson is don't keep an enemy you cannot do without. God bless Lagos, God bless Nigeria.
